2025 Kathin Ceremony at Xienghorn District
“Hongsa Power Organizes the 2025 Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony – Uniting Faith and Harmony to Uphold Merit in Xienghorn Community”
On 21 October 2025, Hongsa Power Company Limited, in collaboration with Xienghorn District, organized the Chianghonn Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony 2025 at Saenthamrung Aram Temple, Ban Lap, Xienghorn District.
The ceremony was graciously co-chaired by Mr. Saengathit Laobriyatoh, Secretary of the District Party Committee of Xienghorn District, and Mr. Kathayuth Chupoon, Managing Director of Hongsa Power Company Limited.
The event was filled with an atmosphere of faith, unity, and joy among Buddhist devotees. Executives and staff of the Hongsa Mine-Mouth Thermal Power Project, together with district and village leaders, representatives from the public and private sectors, and local residents, joined the ceremony with devotion and collective goodwill.
This year’s ceremony aimed to raise funds for the construction of a new sermon hall, enabling the temple to serve as a center of faith and Dhamma, a spiritual sanctuary for Buddhists in Xienghorn Districtn, and a place for moral learning and cultural continuity for future generations.
Notably, the year 2025 marks the first-ever collaboration between Hongsa Power Company Limited and Xienghorn District in organizing this Joint Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony — a meaningful milestone that symbolizes the beginning of long-term cooperation in religious and cultural preservation, strengthening the bonds of faith and unity between the company and the local community.
This year’s total donation amounted to 119,886,500 LAK and 207,287 THB, contributed by Buddhist devotees and supporters both within and outside the Hongsa Power Project. The funds will be used for the restoration and development of temple facilities in alignment with the purpose of the event.
