“The 2025 Hongsa Power and Muang Ngeun United Kathin Ceremony — Upholding Merit and Buddhist Culture through the Power of Community Faith”

On 27 October 2025, Hongsa Power Company Limited, in collaboration with Muang Ngeun District, organized the 2025 United Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony at Salinangua Temple, Ban Nangua, Muang Ngeun District.

The ceremony was honorably co-chaired by Mr. Thongphan Suksavath, Secretary of the District Party Committee of Muang Ngeun, and Mr. Kathayuth Chupoon, Managing Director of Hongsa Power Company Limited.

The event was graced by the presence of executives and staff from the Hongsa Mine-Mouth Thermal Power Project, along with district and village leaders, government and private sector representatives, and Buddhist devotees from across Muang Ngeun who gathered in a spirit of faith, harmony, and devotion.

This year’s ceremony aimed to raise funds for the construction of a new monk’s residence (kutti) at Salinangua Temple, enabling the temple to serve as a sacred space for religious activities, a spiritual center for Buddhists, and a place for nurturing moral and ethical values among youth and the wider community in Muang Ngeun.

Hongsa Power Company Limited and Muang Ngeun District have continuously upheld the tradition of the United Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony to preserve and promote the noble cultural heritage of Buddhism.

The event has been held annually at various temples within Muang Ngeun since 2023, including Khonsouvanaram Temple, Ban Khon (2023), Siphonnguen Temple, Ban Namngeun (2024), and in 2025 at Salinangua Temple, Ban Nangua.

This year’s donations, contributed by faithful Buddhists and supporters both within and outside the Hongsa Power Project, amounted to a total of 133,005,500 LAK, 222,700 THB, 25 CNY, and 10,000 VND. The collected funds will be used to support the temple’s restoration and development in accordance with the objectives of the ceremony.
