Hongsa Power and REPCO NEX Sign MOU to Strengthen Operational Excellence and Advance a Sustainable Energy Future
On 29 May 2026, Hongsa Power Company Limited (Hongsa Power) and Rayong Engineering & Plant Service Co., Ltd. (REPCO NEX) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Hongkham Xayakhan Building, Hongsa Thermal Power Project, Xayaboury Province, Lao PDR, to establish a strategic framework for technical and business collaboration. The partnership aims to enhance operational performance, maintenance management, and the adoption of modern technologies and innovative solutions.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Kathayuth Chupoon, Managing Director, and Mr. Surawut Kosintrakulchai, Deputy Managing Director – Power Plant, representing Hongsa Power Company Limited. They signed the agreement with Dr. Pichet Tangpanyarach, Managing Director, and Mr. Warit Kritphon, Director – Business Solutions & Commercial, representing REPCO NEX. The event was witnessed by executives, representatives from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), and employees from both organizations, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing strategic collaboration and strengthening the future capabilities of the energy industry.
This partnership demonstrates the common vision of both organizations to enhance the operational capabilities of the Hongsa Thermal Power Project through the integration of knowledge, digital technologies, innovation, and industry expertise. The collaboration will focus on reliability management, risk management, and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize plant operations and maintenance, while further strengthening the long-term reliability and performance of the Hongsa Thermal Power Plant.
