The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Narucha Khosasivilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, who presided over the opening ceremony, along with Mr. Chainarong Wongyai, Governor of Nan Province, and Mr. Boutsakone Inthalangsy, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Xayaboury Provincial Administration Committee, in charge of economic affairs.
The event featured an exhibition visit, an exchange of souvenirs between the two countries, and a joint tree planting activity symbolizing cooperation and friendship between Thailand and Laos.
On this occasion, Hongsa Power Company Limited donated 1,000 tree seedlings to support the Thailand–Laos Tree Planting Activity. The contribution reflects the company’s strong commitment to participating in the conservation and restoration of forest resources in the Thailand–Laos border areas. This initiative aligns with the company’s vision of becoming the best power producer in the Lao PDR, while pursuing operational excellence to create happiness and value for all stakeholders. Furthermore, the planted trees will grow as lasting symbols of friendship, unity, and strong cooperation between the two nations.
This project was organized to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2026, and to support the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who has placed great importance on conserving Nan’s forests while improving the quality of life of local communities.
Hongsa Power Company Limited’s participation in this activity reflects the organization’s commitment, as an energy operator in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, to supporting cooperation between Thailand and Laos, strengthening positive relationships with government agencies and local communities in border areas, and making tangible contributions to sustainable natural resource and environmental conservation.
The activity also demonstrates the company’s dedication to maintaining ecological balance and enhancing the quality of life of people in both countries, in alignment with its commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices.
